What We Do

We make Airbnb hassle-free. We manage our clients’ inbox, arrange cleaners, organise repairs, coordinate key exchanges, provide guest support, and even optimise their pricing to ensure they are always maximising their rentals.

Available Positions

Property Manager

What you’ll be doing:

  • Looking after properties like they are your own.
  • Mobilising our maintenance team to ensure your properties are well maintained and looking awesome.
  • Making sure our clients are always kept in the loop and happy.
  • Checking our guests in.
  • Slaying tasks all day long.
  • Working hard and being nice to people.

Who you need to be:

  • Friendly and reliable.
  • Calm under pressure. You run towards the fire not away from it.
  • Able to communicate effectively both over the phone and on email.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Solution focused.
  • You need to give a shit about the happiness of both our guests and property owners.

Financial Manager

What you’ll be doing:

  • Using Xero and our in-house property management system to make sure our books are always in perfect shape.
  • Prepare VAT returns.
  • Reconciling accounts.
  • Manage full debtors function.
  • Load weekly payments.
  • Reconcile petty cash.
  • Invoicing.
  • Process deposits and allocate accurately.
  • Check that rental payments have been received and follow up if not.
  • Ensure that authorization of invoices and payments gets done in time and follow up on regular basis.
  • Analyze accounts and prepare reports.
  • Assist with general HR.
  • Assistance with general ad-hoc administration including making flight and accommodation bookings.

Who you need to be:

  • Minimum of 3 years book keeping experience.
  • Relevant qualification.
  • Experience with Xero a massive plus.
  • Experience in property rental/management not required, but a medium plus.
  • It goes without saying that you are meticulous to the point of annoying those around you.
  • You must be honest and reliable.
  • Although our specific systems will be taught on the job, you must be comfortable using technology.

Property Onboarder

What you’ll be doing:

  • Working closely with our business development managers to get new properties guest ready as quickly as possible
  • Running with various property/maintenance related projects
  • Assisting with sales calls/meetings
  • Assisting with creating profiles on Airbnb and other platforms

Who you need to be:

  • Super organised
  • Friendly and reliable.
  • Able to communicate effectively both over the phone and on email.

Copywriter / Social Media Manager

Are you a creative thinker with an eye for detail and a love for creating compelling content? If so, we may have the perfect role for you.

airManaged is looking for a junior Copywriter / Social Media Manager to join our fast growing team. What you will be doing:

  • Writing marketing material for property profiles including Airbnb
  • Blog posts
  • Managing multiple social media accounts
  • Backlog projects on all our Airbnb profiles and editing them to entice our future guests
  • Proofread training materials
  • Content research and writing
  • Draft statement emails or mass emails to clients/guests

You have:

  • A keen interest on the travel space
  • A wide vocabulary, a creative flair and an eye for detail
  • Excellent writing, listening and communication skills
  • A high level of English language skills
  • A positive attitude and a passion for producing great work
  • Design skills on photoshop (a huge plus)

Experience:

Backend Developer

What you’ll be doing:

  • Building and maintaining our API that feeds all of our interfaces.
  • Integrations with other providers.
  • Looking after our servers and making sure they are running smoothly at all times.

Frontend Developer

What you’ll be doing:

  • Building and maintaining the interfaces that keep the company running.
  • Adding functionality to our Ionic apps for Android + iPhone.

Who you need to be:

  • Fluent in AngularJS and Javascript.
  • An HTML+CSS master.
  • Solid experience with Ionic+Cordova.
  • Comfortable taking a PSD design or badly sketched wireframe and turning it into reality.
  • Obsessed with UX and making interfaces as frictionless as possible.
  • Messy, inefficient and uncommented code makes you sick.
  • Eager to learn and grow.

Business Development Manager

airManaged is seeking a sales executive with corporate travel sales experience to take charge of our corporate travel agent network and grow it into a significant revenue source for the company.

What you will be doing:

  • Marketing our agent login to corporate travel agents, film production companies and event planners
  • Cold calling corporate travel agents, film production companies and event planners
  • Building and maintaining great client relationships and ensuring customer retention

  • Networking and identifying new avenues for business

You are:

You started out working in reservations at a hotel group and found that you have a passion for finding the perfect accommodation for a guest, balancing all their requirements. You love building long term relationships with your clients and have built up a network of corporate travel agents throughout South Africa that all love you because you always go the extra mile to find just the right place. Frustrated by the limited options at the hotels you have worked for, you want to move into the self-catering accommodation space because Airbnb is exploding and you want to explode with it!
You are tech savvy and can communicate clearly, quickly and effectively by phone and email.

Experience:

Minimum 3 years experience in sales within the hospitality industry, with an existing network that will allow you to hit the ground running.
